There is nothing better than great food, good wine, and friendships that pick up right where they left off. My weekend with Sarah and Josiah came at exactly the right time. I needed good wine, patio sits, and talks that bring the soul to life. There are so many things I can say about these two and the beautiful life they have built but for now I will just say thank you. Thank you for being you and always staying true to that. These two inspire me to trust the process and never give up.
While visiting these two love's Sarah and I quite possibly went to every shop in SLO (whooops) to get me the perfect birthday outfit. Little Miss Phoenix was a trooper and let us wander through the shops little did we know we would return back to my the first option over and hour later (I'm the worst). We made the most of this adventure and had great food to top it off.
That night was dinner with the fam and Sarah Dad's homemade SANGRIA--MY FAVEEEE. Also, if you want this recipe I got it so ask and ye shall receive trust me its Faaaantastic. It was after a few glasses that we realized that nothing goes better with the perfect outfit than a high quality dancing in the field photoshoot. Photography and dancing in the streets might very well be the beginning of my friendship with Sarah 9 years ago in Ireland. So it was only natural to get back to our roots. I say we made up for lost time.
It was such a dream come true to be photographed by Sarah. She is not only a soul sister to me but she's incredible at bringing out a special something in the people she photographs. She makes you laugh and feel so comfortable its as though the camera isn't even there. This shoot was effortless and so fun for us both. It was like as soon as it started it was finished. She has an eye for beauty and a love for people. I can't tell you enough that if you are in her area you MUST use her for your photos (no she isn't paying me to say this). Well grab a glass of wine as Sarah and I would and I hope you enjoy these as much as we did. Then do yourself a favor and go to http://sarahkathleen.com/. You can thank me later.
P.S. This dream of an outfit was found in Downtown SLO at a dreamy boutique called Black Water. Website is: www.shopblackwater.com- SPLURGE ALERT: This is MINKPINK maxi romper and to die for, it was a bit on the pricey side but since you only turn 30 once it was worth every penny. It also made for a fannnntastic shoot.
xx Brooke.
