Get Real

Hello my beautiful people,

I have been away for a while as I have been on a journey of healing and self discovery. There are moments in life that draw us away from the things we hold dear and love the most as we learn to heal and grow so in time we can love more deeply. In this season I have learned more about humility and vulnerability than ever before. I want to be able to bring each of you the most vulnerable, beautiful sides of me. I want to be able to show beauty in a form that lets each of you know that beauty first comes from within. We are each beautiful in our own ways which makes it all the more exciting. I want to bring fashion, make up, style, and passion in a way that encourages each of you to step out of the box and live a little on the edge. You can ask any of my friends, I like to break the stereotypes and get people out of their box. I want to bring truth during the process. There are moments where I get weak or question my own beauty I think it's important for you to be on the real journey with me during life's ups and downs. I struggle with understanding my beauty and wearing it with pride. I don't leave the house everyday thinking "dang Brooke you look goooood today", but there are times when I am able to do this. Being a woman comes with its challenges but I want us to fight with truth. To know first we are loved and beautiful then add our own fashion spins to have a little fun in life. Y'all lets be honest, I leave the house often and hear "I would never have thought to put this combo together but it works for you." I love that, to be able to see in a different view to inspire people to try something different with the wardrobe they have. Let's not be afraid to sing a different tune and to brighten things up a bit. Lets step out of our comfort zones, GET REAL and learn together.

The journey of starting a blog is a challenge. You suddenly are researching new ideas, clothing inspiration, as well as finding these amazing bloggers on Instagram. This is fun and exciting but then you start that hateful thing of comparison. I like to bring my own spin on things and help others find items that are affordable but then I see these woman who have all the money and gorgeous clothing and think who would want to read mine? Comparison is always going to be a choice but I have since discovered the beauty of celebrating others where they are and being ok with where I am. I started this blog because I love people, inspiration and affordable fashion and that is what I will continue to do no matter what.

I have recently started a fitness journey with my amazing trainer Sammi Smith (@sammialive). She's absolutely incredible. Not only do I go in and get my bum kicked but we also talk about life and where we're at. She helps me when I'm weak emotionally as well as physically. I decided to get a trainer because I needed the motivation to get to the gym. If thats not your issue and just doing your thing at the gym is perfect you, then you may not need a trainer for motivation, more power to ya.  I'm working out not to change my body (because lets be honest, I love my curves) but to love myself well by staying healthy.

I'm excited for what this season is going to bring. I would love to hear from y'all things you would like to see this year. How I can encourage you to step out of the box; do you want more about make up? Lets be honest I have an obsession with lipstick. Do you want to hear more about my fitness journey and the challenges that have come with that? Tell me things you would like to see and how I can help you view your wardrobe in a different fashion. Where/how do I shop? Travel and how to pack?

Ladies, I want to inspire you to be fully alive as you become fully yourself. Self discovery doesn't have to be a scary thing but a powerful journey. You are all beautiful and powerful. I'm excited to journey with y'all, to GET REAL and most of all inspire.

Lets fly!

xx Brooke
